Pulwama is a small town in Pulwama district in the northern state of Jammu and Kashmir. Situated at a distance of 25 km from Srinagar, Pulwama is the 6th largest city in the state. Popularly known as the "Anand of Kashmir" loosely translated to the delight of Kashmir, this place has apple orchards, waterfalls, natural springs and scenic valleys. The city is otherwise famous for the numerous opportunities for adventure junkies, like mountaineering and trekking in summers and skiing and snowboarding in winters.
